People that are afraid of being hurt will most likely withdraw emotionally and dissociate as a means of protecting their feelings.

We are all programmed by evolution to search and find another human to develop attachment to. There is a need to have someone to depend on, a loved one that can offer reliable emotional connection and comfort.

  • Try answering the questions (remember to be honest and objective as possible)

  • ​Teach people how to treat you by setting boundaries. Don’t give them the consent of treating you badly by staying silent.
